The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in a statement, described the claim as “completely false, malicious and slanderous.”

Shehu said the voice being ascribed to Buhari, in the recording repeatedly played back by the pirate radio station, was not that of the President.
