President Muhammadu Buhari began a short vacation from today, February 5, to last until February 10, 2016.

This was made known by the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina.

According to Mr Adesina, while Buhari is on vacation, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will perform the functions of the president.

The Presidential spokesman also said in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, Buhari had dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
