Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and Senator representing Plateau South, Jeremiah Useni, has said that the first 100 days of President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as that of the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, is commendable.
Useni stated this yesterday in a press statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Jos.
According to the statement, “it is a known fact that the fight against insurgency in the North-East is receiving a boost through the efforts of Mr. President and the National Assembly.
“President Buhari’s efforts in regaining the country’s dignity, prestige and respect from the international community is also worthy of commendation within the first 100 days of his administration, just as the federal government’s efforts aimed at fighting corruption is on the right track,” Senator Useni added.
He said back here in Plateau State it is of great importance to highlight the fact that within the first 100 days in office, Governor Lalong has made efforts to reunite the people irrespective of religious, ethnic and party affiliation.
Useni stressed that: “One other area of great concern is the ongoing rehabilitation, as well as the construction of roads within Jos and Bukuru metropolis and the ability of the state government to negotiate with striking workers who had since returned to work.
He said much is expected from the president, governors and legislators at all levels, “yet with patient we shall deliver to the good people of the country and the state.”
