President Muhammadu Buhari has held a closed door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa.
The former President arrived the Aso Villa at about 2:00pm on Wednesday and went straight into the President’s office for the meeting that lasted for about 15 minutes.
Dr. Jonathan told State House correspondents after the meeting that he had come to brief President Buhari on his trips abroad as an AU Ambassador.
On the situation in the Niger Delta, the he called on the militants to sheath their sword, stating that no one should make any attempt to balkanise Nigeria.
The former President also touched on the fight against corruption where said it will be sub judicious to speak on them as almost all the matters were in court.
However, he promised to talk at the right time, Channelstv report.
