President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo behind closed doors in the State House, Abuja.
The meeting, which lasted over an hour, was held in the president’s office.
It would be recalled that early last month, the former president was in the villa to see President Buhari in his residence, 24 hours after the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan was also in the villa to see him.
Although, details of the discussion was not revealed as Chief Obasanjo declined to talk to journalists, the discussion may not be unconnected with the report of the recent assignment the president gave Obasanjo in Guinea Bissau.
The president had after meeting Chief Obasanjo in August sent him as a special envoy to Guinea Bissau to mediate in the country’s political crisis.
