DSO Project: Lai Mohammed approved payment of N2.5bn to Pinnacle -Witness tells Court

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who is also the leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has attributed the support President Muhammed Buhari is getting across all political spectrum to his sincerity and integrity that cannot be easily found amongst those struggling to oust him in the February 16 Presidential election.

The Minister said this in Ilorin while receiving the executive members of National Committee for Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG). “The support president Buhari is getting is beyond political parties because he represents hope and brighter future for the common man.”

“Many people don’t really know what the situation was in 2015 before we took over government. There were 20 out of 27 local government areas under the control of Boko Haram in Maiduguri, Borno State. I mean total control to the extent that they had installed their own traditional rulers and were collecting taxes like a legitimate government. The name of Mubi town in particular was changed to Medinah of Islam. That alone tells you how terrible the condition was at that time.”

“El kanemi of Maiduguri had to relocate to Bauchi to play their home matches but now they are back in Maiduguri playing their home matches due to how President Buhari has been able to restore the security of lives and properties in the North East generally.”

“We are able to do more with lesser money. Buhari met an empty treasury when he took over government; the economy was in shambles. If Nigeria had spent 6 more months under Jonathan, one Dollar would have been exchanged for one thousand naira.”

“In terms of power improvement, ask yourself how much you were spending on diesel before Buhari became the President compared to now. That is the best way to know how much Buhari has been able to achieve in the power sector.”

“This administration has created an enabling environment for businesses to thrive compared to previous years when companies had to shut down due to insecurity and lack of adequate power supply.”

“Those who are against the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari are those who benefitted from the corrupt regime of past administrations. Nigeria has witnessed an unprecedented level of socio-economic development under Buhari’s administration and we must ensure that this is sustained by supporting the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 poll.

“I urge you all to go back to your wards and polling units and galvanize massive support for all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.”

The coordinator of the National Committee for Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG), Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin appreciated the Honourable Minister for the warm reception he gave members of the NCBSG and promised to take the campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Next Level Agenda across all nooks and crannies of the state.
