President Muhammadu Buhari has officially transmitted names of NDDC executives to the senate for consideration and approval.In a letter which was read by the senate president, Bukola Saraki, at Thursday’s plenary, requested the confirmation of Victor Ndoma Egba as chairman and Isima Ekere as Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, respectively.
The letter also contained the appointments of eighteen man board of the NDDC, which cut across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

The Senate also confirmed receipt of a letter from the president, seeking the confirmation of justices of the Supreme Court in accordance with section 231 sub-sections 1 of the 1999 constitution as amended

The two justices of the Supreme Court, Ejembi Ekwo and Amina Augie hails from Benue and Kebbi States.

While referring Mr. President’s request to appropriate committees, the senate president in his remarks, said it may not be considered anytime soon as the Senate will be going on delay recess for the next six weeks
