The screening and clearance of the ministerial nominees of President Muhammadu Buhari was
concluded last Thursday with all the 36 nominees scaling the hurdle. The Federal Executive
Committee, FCE, is consequently expected to be inaugurated next Wednesday after President
Buhari has sworn-in the new ministers. Mixed reactions had trailed the nomination of some of the
ministers for several reasons. As the new cabinet sets to take shape, Nigerians have already selected
those they believe are the most outstanding among the ministerial nominees and have tagged them
“Buhari’s First 11.” ASSISTANT EDITOR, Sunday Pilot, MIKE ODIAKOSE x-rays these
outstanding nominees who left indelible marks in their previous places of assignments before Mr.
President picked them to join his cabinet

Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN)
The choice of the immediate

the Minister of the Federal
Capital Territory if President
Buhari wishes to improve on the standard in the FCT.
Though a two-term governor,
many Nigerians still do not
perceive Fashola to be a
politician but rather he is seen
from the prism of an astute
manager of men and resources.
