CHAMPION Breweries Plc said its pretax profit for the first-half (H1) period ended June 30, 2015 climbed up 101.2 percent to N21 million from a negative of N884.7 million recorded a year earlier.
Similarly, the brewer also said it posted a post tax profit of N14.6 million from a negative of N884.7 million recorded in the HI of 2014; indicating an improvement of 102 percent.
Revenue grew from N1.399 billion in 2014 to N1.596 billion in the review period of 2015; showing a growth of 14.1 percent, the company said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE.
Shares of Champion Breweries dropped 4.84 percent at the close of the last trading session the previous week on the Nigerian bourse before the el-Fitr celebrations.
It opened trading at N5.58 and closed at N5.31 losing 0.27 kobo per share.
