Fernando Torres went from hero to zero within the space of ten minutes as Atletico Madrid rattled FC Barcelona at the Nou Camp in a Champions League quarter-final tie last night.
Torres opened the scoring in the 25th minutes, and then picked up a booking and got sent off following a ridiculous lunge on Sergio Busquets after a second yellow card.
Meanwhile, Yaya Toure has been ruled out of Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain with a knee injury.
Toure missed the 4-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend with the problem and manager Manuel Pellegrini will again be without the midfielder in Paris on Wednesday evening.
City will also be without captain Vincent Kompany, although Joe Hart trained with the squad on Tuesday after also missing the Bournemouth win with a calf injury picked up in the defeat to Manchester United before the international break.
