BRAZIL star Alex Teixeira has revealed Chelsea are in ‘deep’ talks to lure him from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The £30million-rated attacking midfielder, 25, would follow in the footsteps of pal Willian by heading to Stamford Bridge from Ukraine.

Teixeira said: “From what I have seen and what my manager said, Chelsea, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have made proposals.

“But Chelsea and Juventus are deeper in negotiations. They are all big clubs. Wherever I go, I’ll be happy.”

Teixeira would also join fellow Brazilians Ramires, Oscar and Kenedy in Jose Mourinho’s first-team ranks.

Asked whether he would be interested in a move to the Premier League, he added: “It’s my dream.

“I have spoken to many people who play in the Premier League because I think it’s the best league in the world.

“It’s the most competitive and I want this challenge in my career.

“I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea is a big club in Europe but my manager is dealing with that.”

Despite being keen on a switch to Stamford Bridge, Teixeira believes he may have to wait until next summer to seal the deal.

He added: “For January, I believe it is very difficult because it is in the middle of the championship.

“Shakhtar have said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season.”

Teixeira is also excited by the prospect of working with Mourinho.

He said: “He’s the world’s best coach. I think I will learn a lot from him. I hope he does not leave the Chelsea now.

“I want to work with him and have great success at his side.

“I do not know if it was he who showed me to Chelsea but I read an interview he gave saying he was keeping an eye on me and placed scouts to watch me.”
