CHELSEA have entered the race for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked with mega-money moves for the Argentine.
And now the Blues have entered the war for his signature – according to reports from Italy.
Calcio mercato web claim Jose Mourinho has identified the 27-year-old as a possible replacement for the departing Didier Drogba.
The Portuguese worked with Higuain during his time in charge at Real Madrid before selling him to Napoli in 2013.
He’s bagged 51 goals in 98 games for Rafa Benitez’s side.
But with the Spaniard heading off to Real Madrid to replace Carlo Ancelotti, the future of several of Napoli’s key men has been cast into doubt.
The club finished fifth in Serie A this season, meaning they won’t play in the Champions League next season to heap further uncertainty over senior players.
Calcio mercato web claim Chelsea are willing to bid £30m for Higuain’s services.
