Project Pink Blue, a non-profit organisation involved in creating public awareness on breast and cervical cancer, provision of free cancer screenings and support to people battling with cancer, has joined the rest of the world to mark the cancer awareness week, with celebrities leading the march.
The event, which was held on Saturday, October 3, at the popular Alade Market, Allen Avenue, Ikeja in Lagos, had singer Chidinma, actress Oge Okoye amongst others in attendance.
This year’s edition, “Pink October Walk, Race & Cycling Against Cancer” which was in partnership with Nma Foundation, was held to commemorate the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event which had over 200 participants also had two breast cancer survivors, Khadijat Banwo and Gloria Orji in attendance.
It was a 1km walk, 1km race and 7km cycling with @RoadRunners club to create awareness and provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings to women at Alade Market.
