A Christian group under the auspices of Christian Rural and Urban Development Association of Nigeria, CRUDAN, has called on the president elect, General Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that no corrupt person finds his or her way into his cabinet if he wants to make the changes that Nigerians desire a reality.
The association stated this in a communiqué issued out to newsmen after its North West Zone annual development conference held in Kaduna yesterday.
Reading the communiqué, the Board Secretary of the Association, Reverend Canon Cletus Magaji said the call became very important because the past administration, in the country surrounded itself with corrupt officials and this has led to lack of proper documentation of budget.
He advised the incoming administration to be wary of this for it to succeed.
Continuing, Reverend Magaji called on all Nigerians to come together and show the love they are thought in their religions to each others irrespective of ethnic or religion background.
In his own remark, the Guest Speaker, Dr, Ben Gugon of kaduna state University, called on the incoming government to prepare its budget
early and at the same time, called on the Legislators to ensure quick passage of the budget.
Dr Gogon who spoke on the subject: ‘The Impact of Participatory Budgeting in Good Governance’, said the people should decide on the projects that are more important to them and the era of sighting projects for political benefit should be over in the country if we are to move forward.
The North West Zonal facilitator of CRUDAN Pastor James Obidiah called on participants to make the best use of the knowledge acquired at the conference.
