Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area in Delta State, Chief Ebikeme Clark, has called on Burutu indigenes in Nigeria and Diaspora, to continue to support the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whose laudable SMART agenda is geared towards the rapid and sustainable development of the state.

Clark, made the appeal in Warri, yesterday, shortly after awarding contracts for the execution of projects in all the 20 wards in the council.

Acoording to him “we have successfully and transparently awarded contracts to competent contractors for the construction of various people-oriented projects in the 20 wards that make up the council, which include landing jetties, toilets, bore-holes and street lights, amongst others, basically from the inputs made by councilors representing the wards.”

“My mandate is to reposition Burutu for greatness, where things will be done properly. The people of Burutu have confidence in us which was what they elected us into office, that is why we have decided to embark on the projects after clearing the backlog of salaries owed the council staff.”

He said” I made a promise to the people of Burutu council area that by the grace of God they would feel the impact and presence of my administration, despite the dwindling resources we have been doing our best providing good governance to our people, and with the execution of projects in all the 20 wards which make up the council, the people would rejoice and be proud our administration.”
