Clergy Condemn in strong teams The Postponement of 2019 Election by INEC

The Taraba state Chairman of TEKAN/ECWA Reverend Philip Micah Dopah has condemned in strong teams the decision taken by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to postpone the 16 February general elections in the nation.

The clergy described the rescheduled elections as unfortunate pointing that thousands of Nigerians have been thrown into an untold hardship and wondered why INEC would postpone elections few hours to voting, stressing that such act is not healthy to the growth of the Nigeria democracy.

The chairman appreciated Nigerians who tuned out enmass to exercise their civic rights and encouraged them not to allow what happened to dampen their moral in the subsequent elections.

Dopah called on INEC to be unbiased in the conduct of the elections as well as not allowing desperate politicians who have nothing to offer to meddle with the elections.

He urged Christians not to stop prayers but make more fervent intercessions, supplications with Thanksgiving to God for the nation in order that their desire to enthrone good, credible and God fearing leaders is realized.
