Board Chairman of God’s Kingdom Society, GKS, Mr. Godwin Ifeacho, has urged Nigerians to be prayerful in the midst of the economic crises and terrorism facing the nation.
He made the call in Abuja on Sunday while delivering a sermon to members of his church.
According to him, “In fulfillment of the Bible’s prophecies, the world today is bedeviled with natural disasters, economic difficulties, wars, social violence and armed robbery.’’
Ifeacho, who was represented by the Minister-in-charge of the North Central Zone, Mr. Timothy Esimagbele, said the faith of many Nigerians was being put to test presently.
He attributed the situation to some legislation that is clashing with God’s law and agenda for the world. He cited the legislation of same-sex marriage as one of the laws that was clashing with God’s law, adding that it is not good for both Christians and Muslims.
Ifeacho explained that in various parts of the world, people are facing life threatening situations or temptations in different ways which, according to him, only Almighty God can save them.
According to him, 300,000 Africans and Asians are now fleeing to Europe, a situation in which many of them have lost their lives, while their leaders are struggling for positions without caring what happens to them.
He called on Nigerians and the world in general to be hard working and avoid vices like prostitution and stealing. He said the devil has been at war with the children of God through the ages, but the situation was worse now.
Ifeacho said to be able to face the challenges of these evil days, Nigerians need knowledge, faith, understanding, meekness, obedience and patience.
GSK, which celebrates the birth of Jesus in October, believes that Jesus was born in October contrary to the belief of other denominations that he was born on December 25.
