The National Commission
for Refugees, Migrants and
Internally Displaced Persons
(NCFRMI) on Thursday donated
various items to the Internally
Displaced Persons living in
Uhogua, Ovia North East local
government area of Edo.
Mrs Sadiya Umar-Farouq,
the federal commissioner of the
commission said the effort was
to put smiles on the faces of the
Umar-Farouq said ‘’we want
you to accept the small gifts, we
hope to do more. We will come
back to assist the widows with
some skills for you to take care
of you children.
‘’To the children, we want you
to be good children so that you
can be great children in future”.
According to her, the President
was committed to ensuring that
every IDP reunites with his or her family.
Items donated were bags
of rice, cartons of indomie,
kegs of palm oil, and kegs of
groundnut oil among others.
Mr Solomon Folorunsho,
the coordinator of the IDP
Camp thanked the federal
commissioner for the gesture.
