Police in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT has advised residents of the territory to conduct a proper bacgroud checks on their prospective domestic staff before employment.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Mustafa gave the advice in a security tips he released to the media yesterday.
According to the tips, “Members of the public are enjoined to be cautious of where they park their cars. Car owners should take the extra step of installing tracking device in their cars. Cars should not be parked at dark and secluded places
“Proper background check should be conducted before employing domestic staff (gate-men or house-help). Domestic staff should be educated to guard against interaction with strangers, especially those not known to the family.
“Domestic staff should be restricted from access some parts of the home, especially place where valuables are kept. Parents should know their children’s friends.
