There was confusion in Kogi State yesterday as gun men abducted two senior staff of the state judiciary.
According to an eye witness account the victims were abducted at different locations in the state on thursday and taking to undisclosed location.
The two judiciary staffers whose names were given as Justices Aliu Okeme and Timothy Ali were said to have been abducted same day at various locations.
While Justice Okeme was said to have been abducted at Ojuwocha in Ofu Local government area on his way to inspect a farm, Ali was abducted while on his way to the court in Anyingba in Dekina Local government area of the state.
Although information of how they were abducted is still sketchy as at the time of filing in this story, but the police authority is said to have been immediately alerted over the incidents.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Willy Aya, when contacted confirmed the incident but said the police were working round the clock to track down the abductors of the said judiciary staffers.
Meanwhile, because of the heightened incident of kidnapping in the state recently, members of the public are apprehensive, calling the police and other security agencies not to rest on their oars until the those behind the dastard act are arrested.
It will be recalled that the governor’s mum was equally abducted in 2013 when the abductors demanded the sum of #35 million over her.
