Anambra State Commissioner for Agriculture, Afam Mbanefo says the state government will partner with the Federal Government to eradicate unemployment.

Mbanefo said this when he received a delegation from the Bio-Resource Centre, Abagana, led by the Coordinator, Mr Cletus Ezisi in Awka on Tuesday.

He advised the centre to provide a work plan to enable them enjoy the support of the state government.

“You should develop a proper work plan, as the centre is a business that will run itself and contribute to alleviating the suffering of the poor masses not only in Anambra but in the country at large.

“You can be assured that as long as the state government is well represented in the plan, your request will be granted because that is the main trust of Gov. Wilie Obiano to eradicate poverty,” he said.

Ezisi, who had earlier showed the commissioner detailed clips of the work plan of the centre which included Livestock, Aquatic, Mushroom, Bio-Resource Lab, Agriculture-Honey and Bio-Entrepreneur, said that the project would create employment opportunities.

“Citizens will be employed to boost the economy of the state, and there will be abundance of food for the people.

“Citing of the centre in the state means that some of the dangers of grass cutters will be valuable as the animal has natural insulin that cures diabetes,” he said. (NAN)a
