Masaka Chief Magistrates’ Court, Nasarawa State, has ordered a 31-year-old- man, Christopher Chukwu, to vacate his rented apartment before April 20.

Mr Victor Manga, The magistrate, gave the order as the defendant failed to comply with the order of the court.

According to our reporter, Manga ordered the defendant to vacate the apartment and look for an alternative accommodation before the date to avoid any form of embarrassment.

Manga told the defendant that he should be happy that his landlord, Donatus Damar has no interest in the arrears.

He also advised the defendant to look for money and add to the arrears to get a new apartment.

The plaintiff, Damar, filed a suit in respect of the arrears owed by the defendant, adding that Chukwu is a yearly tenant.

Damar said, “Since his rent expired in April, 2016, he refused to renew his rent, amounting to N68, 750 as rent arrears.
