Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has approved the sale of Thibaut Courtois.
The Times says Courtois, 23, has grown frustrated with life at Stamford Bridge and shares a fractious relationship with goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon.
Conte, who will assume his role after Euro 2016, has given the green light for his departure and is actively searching for a replacement.
Chelsea will sell only if they receive a record-breaking £50m for his services.
Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain are considered favourites to sign Courtois but only if the former fail to lure Manchester United star David de Gea to the Bernabeu.
