Worried by the high rate of unemployment in the country, the managing director of Abeysteph Group of Companies, Mr. Abiodun Oyediran has said that plans were underway to recruit no fewer than 500 youths by the end of January 2016.
Oyediran made this disclosure while speaking to Nigerian Pilot at this year’s Abuja Mega promo, which was organised by the organisation.
He said that his company was committed to carrying youths along, maintaining that high rate of unemployment had remained a major setback for the teeming youths in the country, calling on government to create the enabling environment for business to thrive in the country.
The managing director said: “Due to urgent need to expand the company’s capacity as well as compliment government’s effort in reducing unemployment in the country, we are going to employ over five hundred youths by January 2016.”
Meanwhile, as part of efforts to further boost human capacity, Oyediran further noted that eight youngsters drawn from different parts of the country would be travelling to Dubai in January to acquire more skills on graphics among others, noting that technical education remained the bedrock of national growth.
Nigerian Pilot gathered that Monday Obaje, an Abuja resident, won a star prize of brand new Toyota Corolla at the ongoing mega promo.
