Embattled Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung has boasted that he would carry out leadership change order on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF once the court has passed its judgement.
Dalung who spoke in Abuja as the crisis rocking Nigerian football lingers however noted that the recent high court judgement which has not been brought to his office would not be enforced until 30 days if the defendant Amaju Pinnick and his board decide not to appeal.
According to him; “As a Lawyer and the Minister of sports, till today, I have not received any court order. The court orders served on me were all dated 2014 not even 2015. I have never received any copy dated 2016. Sadly, large People seated here who are rumour mongers, mischief makers, enemies of Nigerian football target to destroy hard-earn reputation which I built over the years by members of the family.
“For me, then Government deals with established institutions. If a governmentis replaced we will also be informed on how it was replaced and we will enforce the replacement.
“Even if there were issues in court, I made it categorically clear, if football issues don’t go to court, and somebody has decided under section 41 of the Nigeria constitution to go to court, he has now opened up the floodgates to endless litigations.
“I think those who drafted FIFA statutes wanted to abort this long process. But if anyone decide that he is going to a conventional court, right. I have gotten a judgement, fine. That judgement gives another Man chance to appeal within 30 days. For me, I will wait until 30 days, if the man doesn’t appeal, it means he has accepted the judgement. Then I can enforce the verdict of the court.
“You cannot go to court, get judgement and you want to deny another Man right to appeal. The same court that gave you right, gave another right to appeal. And so, you will allow him exercise his right. We will continue like that until, it gets to Supreme Court. What is the panic all about, anybody that is panicking is not a sincere Person.
He further boasted “I’m not panicking for anything. If I address FIFA, they will know they have problems with their laws. Because if FIFA’s law says it is subject to National laws and it has no right to discipline members why the issues? All of you seated here, if your interest is not protected, you will run and live football and go to court.
“If you have subscribed to be a member of football family, bind yourself to the laws that guide football…Nigerian football is a disorganized family with no-focus.
