The re-elected governor of Gombe state, Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo has reassured the people of the state that all citizens would be treated equally as he assumes his second tenure, come May 29.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Sule Bage, Dankwambo pledged equal distribution of resources to all the people of the state.
He pledged not to relent in his effort to protect the lives and property of all citizens of the state.
“As the re-elected governor of Gombe state, I consider that I have a responsibility for the safety and well-being of all citizens of the state, whether they were party to my re-election or not,” part of the statement read.
The governor used the opportunity to call on his supporters to be modest and orderly as they celebrate his victory at the polls.
He urged them not to intimidate harass or embarrass anyone in the course of celebrating his victory, because of perceived or real non-election of his party, the PDP during the governorship election.
