Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has said his second term administration would remain committed to the principles of probity, transparency and accountability predicated on respect for the rule of law and due process in the conduct of government business.
The governor said this yesterday at the inauguration of his second term as governor of Gombe state.
He said he would ensure all stakeholders are carried along as open, participatory and consultative administration promotes good governance and help sustain peaceful coexistence.
He pledged commitment to the continued provision of as many socio-economic and infrastructural facilities as possible.
“Our mission here is to achieve a threshold in the destiny of such facilities upon which sustainable development could be based,” he said.
Governor Dankwambo highlighted agriculture, commerce and industry as well as educational tourism as sectors that easily come to mind as his second term administration plans to forge ahead with plans to develop Gombe into a viable economic hub in the area(s) of comparative advantage.
He disclosed plans to finish the upgrading and equipping of the women and children hospital, Gombe specialist hospital as well a one general and one cottage hospital in each senatorial district over the next four years, despite having spent nearly N80 billion in the sector already.
