FRONTLINE economist and business mogul, Professor Pat Utomi, said the oil rich Delta State is becoming an attractive business destination for foreign investors. Utomi, who hosted Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Lagos, revealed that there are lots of untapped potentials and urged the international community to consider the numerous business opportunities in the state. Also, the governor assured that his administration would support investments in the agricultural and solid minerals sectors. Okowa said as the state moves to reduce its dependence on crude oil, his administration would strengthen an enabling environment for investments to thrive in the agriculture and other sectors. He commended the international community for their support in attracting investments to the state, assuring that the Asaba Airport upgrade would be ready in December to accommodate bigger aircrafts and also attract more airlines into the state.
