The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Delta Central Senatorial election inconclusive.

The commission’s declaration came six days after the election was held and after several reviews and updating of the collated votes.

INEC said it decided to declare the election inconclusive because of manipulations, snatching of ballot materials and violence in Ughelli South, Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas.

Elections will therefore be held in the three local government areas before the final result can be declared, the commission said.
