Mama Elisabeth, the 86 year old mother of the chairperson of Patani local government, Mrs Elizabeth Abeke who was kidnapped at her residence in Abari community and held for nineteen days.
This was disclosed by Ambassador Godwin Okporoko, Executive Assistant on Security Matters to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
Okporoko, who spoke shortly after his team rescued the 86 year old woman and Paul Oge, said the government of Governor Okowa would continue to do everything possible to protect lives and properties in the state.
He said “with God on our side my team with the support of security agencies was able to rescue the mother of the chairman of Patani local government area and Mr. Paul Oge, they have been reunited with their families”.
Okporoko further urged Deltans to continue to support the present state government led by Senator Okowa, assuring that the governor has good plans to transform the state and as well make life meaningful for the people.
He however commended security agencies in the state for being proactive and diligent in discharging their duties, urging residents in the state to collaborate with relevant security agencies in the fight to curtail criminal activities in the state.
