The House of Assembly Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for Isoko South Constituency (11) in the April 11 general election, Hon. Ferguson Onwo has vowed to reclaim his mandate at the election petition tribunal.
He also called on his supporters and well meaning people of the Constituency to remain calm while he explores all legal means to reclaim his stolen mandate.
Briefing members of the campaign organization and leaders across the six wards of the constituency recently, at his Olomoro country home, Hon. Onwo thanked the people for coming out en masse to vote for him during the House of Assembly election of April11.
He noted that the issue of compromise and activities that led to the stealing of the people’s mandate on 12th of April at the Ekpre Otobo hall Oleh was already in the public domain.
Onwo said that his legal team had put all the necessary machinery in place to ensure that the people’s vote must count against all odds, believing in the power of the judiciary.
He further enjoined the people to remain steadfast, emphasizing that at the appropriate time all those who schemed to subvert the popular will of the people as well as their collaborators will be made to face the music.
According to him “with the overwhelming evidence available, the relevant security agencies and enforcement apparatus will surely be invoked to ensure that all those involved in perpetuating electoral fraud are not only punished but adequately sanctioned to serve as a deterrent to others”.
