Civil Service Society, Nigeria Youth Voice has said that the position of Deputy Senate President should emerge from the eastern region.

Speaking with our Correspondent, the president of the forum Comrade Obi Opara stated that Nigeria was made up of various ethnic groups of which they where three major tribes; thus, the political position should be shared within the major tribes.

In his words, “In Nigeria we have three major languages the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba so, the political office in the nation also has to be split.

“According to the party hierarchy they structure the senate president to go to the north east so we think they should zone the deputy to the south east as we have credible people like Orjiuzo Kalu.”

Comrade Opara who further spoke on his civil society said his organisation has been in existence since 2015 and has been empowering youths in agriculture.

He added that though they were not a political organisation, they had intentions of fielding a candidate for the 2018 candidate.

“The main purpose of Nigeria youth voice is to bring unity within the youths of the nation despite religious affiliations and ethnicity. The vision is to empower youths in politics and agriculture. We are non partisan but we can support any candidate. We hope to feed a candidate by 2023.”
