Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has in the exercise of his executive powers, approved the extension of the appointment of Dr. Peter F. Singabele as Head of Service of Bayelsa State.
The extension, which is for a period of 6 months, takes effect from the 16th of this month.
A statement to this effect from the Office of the Secretary to the state Government, Barrister David Serena Dokubo-Spiff explains that, the extension was informed by the numerous important ongoing service related issues being ably handled by the Head of Service, stressing that, his leaving the service now could be detrimental to the administration’s programme of repositioning the civil service for greater efficiency.
The statement, however, expressed the hope that, he would serve the state loyally, with a sense of patriotism, proficiency and diligence.
Similarly, Governor Dickson has extended the appointment of Mr. Joseph Akedesuo as a Permanent Secretary and Head of State Protocol services for a period of one year.
The appointment, which will be on a contract basis for its entire duration, is with immediate effect.
