The Edo House of Assembly on Tuesday in Benin ended its plenary in a rowdy session in what many believe has to do with the refusal of the speaker to obey a court order to swear in the PDP member-elect for Etsako west, Mr Sylvanus Eruaga.

Plenary had hardly begun at about 11.05am when  members who were obviously enraged by media reports about the conduct of aides to the Speaker with respect to their beating up of a Court bailiff,  were seen shouting at each other.

Sensing the very tense mood in the house, Mr Ojo Asein,  member representing (APC Owan West ) there after moved a motion for the house to adjourn sine die.

Acting on the motion, the speaker, Victor Edoror, adjourned plenary for two weeks and after the adjournment said” gentlemen of the press I was caught unawares”.

“We are heading for an executive session to find out their grievances and  resolve the crisis. I believe that the issues are resolvable,” Edoror said.‎
