Kaduna based legal practitioner, Maxwell Kyon, has dragged Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai before a Kaduna magistrate court 4 over the introduction of free school feeding programme of the Governor.
Kyon, who is the plaintiff argued that the initiative is unconstitutional and there was no need for the governor to feed school children in the state.
But Defence counsels, Director of Litigation, State ministry of Justice, Sanusi Usman and his deputy, Daniel Isah, who led the legal team for the defendant, said the plaintiff has no grounds to challenge the free public schools feeding programme of Governor El-Rufai.
However, the presiding judge of State Magistrate Court 4, Chief Magistrate Mairo Muhammed, adjourned the case to 17th march, 2016 for the preliminary objection.
