Equities market closed on a negative note yesterday, as NSE ASI depreciated by 1.14 percent to close at 30,752.63 basis points, compared with the 0.51 percent depreciation recorded previously.
Its Year-to-Date, YTD, returns currently stands at -11.27 percent.
Market breadth closed negative as Unilever led 10 gainers against 35 losers topped by UBA at the end of yesterday’s session, an unimproved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closed negative as volume declined by 29.57 percent against 54.51 percent uptick recorded in the previous session. Zenith Bank, FBNH and GTB were the most active to boost market turnover. GTB and Zenith Bank topped market value list.
NPF Microfinance Bank led the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume spike at the end of yesterday’s session.
