TRADING activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, closed on a positive note yesterday, as NSE ASI appreciated by 0.70 percent to close at 30,458.86 basis points, compared with the 0.22 percent appreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date, YTD, returns currently stands at -12.11 percent
Market breadth closed negative as Transcorp led 29 gainers against 20 losers topped by Conoil at the end of yesterday’s session, an improved performance when compared with previous outlook.
Market turnover closed positively as volume moved up by 108.73 percent against 19.37 percent uptick recorded in the previous session. Mansard, Multiverse and GTB were the most active to boost market turnover. GTB and Zenith bank topped the market value list.
