Former Enugu State governor, Sullivan Chime was a guest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Enugu to answer questions on how he spent about N450 million given to him by the former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Madueke during the last general election.
Chime, who arrived the premises of the anti-corruption office in the early hours of yesterday, drove himself in his luxurious Ford Explorer CV 950 ENU, but on sighting journalists at the premises of the EFCC, he (Chime) stayed for a while before he trekked in as he was not allowed to drive in.
Chime had long denied direct involvement with the disbursement of the fund, but is yet to leave EFCC hook, hence his appearance at the Enugu office yesterday.
He, however, did not stay long, but came out and stole himself into his car without a wink to the press.
It was not easy to get the EFCC officials to state why Chime was in their office as the gate was locked against the inquisitive journalists.
