Akwa United management has disclosed that the three-match ultimatum on the technical crew is inviolable and that their scorecard will be reviewed at the end of the games.
The Uyo side started the season impressively but after two home losses and a draw the team crashed on the league table – which led to the suspension of coach Maurice Cooreman.
Media officer of the club, Uwem Ekoh said chairman of the club, Paul Bassey has informed the coaches after their loss to MFM FC that they must ensure they win their next two games against FC IfeanyiUbah and Giwa FC.
He also confirmed that Cooreman remain suspended and that nothing of note has been concluded regarding his fate but that the Promise keepers are concerned about bouncing back from their unimpressive results.
“The management pointed out that the coaches still have two more matches to see out the ultimatum given them and that they will be reviewed at the end of it to see if they will be allowed to continue with it,” he told Goal.
“They have been told that they must ensure they pick six points from their next two matches and that the management must sit first before their fate will be determined.”
Akwa United are 10th on the log with 18 points from 14 matches and were drubbed 3-0 by MFM in Lagos last weekend.
