In a rare display of bi-partisanship sorely lacking but deeply needed in the Nigerian political space, Governor Kayode Fayemi of the Ekiti State and of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Udom Emmanuel on his victory at the March 9, gubernatorial elections.

In a letter Fayemi sent to Emmanuel, the Ekiti Governor asserted that the victory was an affirmation and reward for Emmanuel’s pervious performance by the pp of Akwa Ibom.

“You were favoured and re-elected because your people found you so worthy and deserving. Your people renewed the confidence in you and further entrust you with the management of their commonwealth,” Fayemi’s letter said.

Fayemi, who the immediate past Minister of Solid Minerals in the current federal executive council, said he was, “confident that you will justify this with renewed vigor and more development across the state.

“I have no doubt in my mind that you performed well and impressed your people with your first term mandate; this must have informed their decision to support your second term bid.

“Please keep up the good work and do more to continuously and positively affect the people. I look forward to your cooperation in our renewed quest to move our States forward and further enshrine good governance in Nigeria, collectively. May God strengthen us to leave our States, and Nigeria, better than we met her,” it concluded.
