Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Alhaji Mohammed Musa Bello, has urged all traditional rulers to work assiduously to maintain peace in their domains.
The minister made the call yesterday while receiving members of the FCT Council of Chiefs led by its Chairman and Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, who paid him a courtesy call in his office.
Alhaji Bello reiterated that peaceful co-existence is one of the most important bedrocks for which meaningful development can take place; emphasizing that Abuja remains the window from which the world sees Nigeria.
The minister enjoined traditional rulers to pray for his success and that of President Muhammadu Buhari in order to achieve the desired change promised Nigerians.
“We are here to work for the people and therefore I urge you to pray for me and President Buhari for God to give us the wisdom to serve the people better.”
While calling for patience, support and understanding, Bello promised that the FCT Administration would work fervently to improve on infrastructural development.
He emphasized the need for traditional rulers to enlighten their subjects on government programmes and policies.
