Days after confirming that they are in talks with Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel, Sky Sports have revealed that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are also interested in the services of another Chelsea midfielder in the person of Ramires.
While it is being suggested in certain quarters that the Canneries are planning a double swoop other conflicting reports claim Mikel may be dropped for the Brazilian midfield star.
Indeed both Mikel and Ramires are not in any way assured of their place in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up anymore with competition fierce in their respective positions.
The catalyst as Mikel is fondly referred to by his admirers has been relegated to the bench by Nemanja Matic whilst Ramires found his chances limited by the arrival of Cesc Fabregas last summer, as well the form of Willian on the right.
It seems that both players could be on their way out of Stamford Bridge this summer with Turkish giants looking like a possible destination.
Having loaned out Emmanuel Emenike, Fenerbahce have also been linked with Manchester United striker Robin van Persie as they look to bolster their squad with Premier League talent for the upcoming season.
Recall that the same club have also secured the services of former United’s dashing winger, Nani.
