The head of African football says his entire continent will back Sepp Blatter for re-election as FIFA president next month.

Issa Hayatou, president of the Confederation of African Football, made the comment in his speech at the opening of its congress in Cairo on Tuesday. Blatter was also present.

Hayatou referred to Blatter as “dear Sepp,” and said CAF’s 54 member countries would all vote for the 79-year-old Swiss in FIFA’s presidential election in Zurich on May 29.
