FIRST Bank of Nigeria Limited has again demonstrated its support for sustainable youth empowerment by sponsoring the 6th edition of the CFC UNILAG Academic Summit 6.0. Themed, “The Digital Age Media: A Marriage of Skills, Opportunities and Technology”. The summit, which held August 6, at the University of Lagos Main Auditorium, was organised to effectively reach the youth segment – a critical segment in the Bank’s current development strategy.
The CFC UNILAG Academic Summit was borne out of the need for mass communication and journalism students in tertiary and pre-tertiary institutions to acquire academic knowledge and a real world experience through internship programmes and the emergence of the town and gown concept via mentorship by veterans in the various fields of the media industry.
