As exclusively reported by Nigerian Pilot last month, arrangements are in top gear to see the Nigeria U-20 team, the Flying Eagles head to Germany for an intensive camping stint, ahead of this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup billed to take place in New Zealand.
The NFF have promised that the Coach Manu Garba tutored side will get the best of preparations as they target a historic outing in New Zealand; where they hope to be the second African team after Ghana to win the Youth World Cup and have thus matched their words with action.
Already, Coach Manu has released a provisional World Cup list of 35 players but it is not clear whether all the players will make the tentatively fixed April, 28 trip to Germany .
The reigning African champions already have their work cut out at the FIFA U20 World Cup where they are housed in Group E alongside Brazil, Hungary and North Korea.
Flying Eagles Assistant Coach Nduka Ugbade said the Germany camp was well thought out by the NFF in conjunction with the U20 team technical crew and they will be making the most of the opportunity.
“The training camp is a plus to our preparations and we will make the most of it” The Coach declared.
