Telecom operator, Glo Mobile, is sponsoring a reality TV show poised to change the face of entertainment on the continent.
Tagged “Dance With Peter,” the reality show is a 13-week dancing competition in partnership with the sensational African dance prodigy, Peter Okoye, the twin brother and partner in the sensational and multiple award winning musical group, P-Square.
Top dancers stand a chance of winning huge cash prizes and cars, and an opportunity to feature in P-Square’s next music video.
The Abuja leg of the auditions will hold today, Saturday August 27 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre.
According to organisers, the show, which is taking participants from Ghana and Nigeria, will bring a whole new dimension and passion to dancing with exciting display of talents in dance and choreography.
“It is going to be the biggest reality TV show in recent time, with huge benefits for the participants in the competition, entertainment lovers and television viewers generally”. On his part, Peter Okoye had noted just before the Accra, Ghana auditions: “This show is going to revolutionize the way our people see dance. We believe that dance has the power to bring out the best of passion for some young individuals out there who crave an opportunity to excel and be famous. Dance With Peter is that unique opportunity.”
The competition is open to individuals from different dance backgrounds, be it solo, duet or group.
From the Accra auditions, six dancers and groups have been selected to join other qualifiers from Nigeria in a competition phase in Lagos for weeks of serious grilling and weekly evictions.
