Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has appointed a new general manager for the Globe FM radio station in Bauchi State, Dahiru Garba Muhammad
The appointment of the new GM followed the deployment of the former general manager, Mal. Yusuf Nadabo, to the presidency for a special assignment.
Muhammad is also the chairman of the Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, and has since assumed office.
He took over from the overseeing officer, Aminu TAHIR Goggo who has been on acting capacity for the last one week.
Until his appointment, the new Globe FM GM is an editor with the state television, BATV.
The new GM promised to work hand in hand with the staff to bring new ideas that would move the station forward.
Meanwhile, the state council of NUJ, management of BATV, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, NAWOJ, and SWAN have since congratulated the new GM, describing him as a committed, experienced journalist who had the knowledge to transform the station professionally.
