Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has approved the immediate revocation of last minute allocation of lands and auctioning of government vehicles by the immediate past administration of Isa Yuguda.
The Secretary of the Transition Committee Dr Aliyu Tilde in a statement issued by the committee yesterday, said that the Governor has approved the interim report of the committee aimed at improving the service.
He said the allocation of lands at the new site of the Specialist Hospital and Bauchi State Agricultural Development Programme, BSADP, as well as all auctioning of vehicles that is not in conformity with the standard regulations has also been revoked.
He explained that a Task Force committee has been set up to ensure the recovery of government assets, including properties, plants, machinery, monies as well as vehicles carted away by political appointees and other unofficial persons associated with the last administration.
He pointed out that the state governor has ordered the immediate recovery of all generators released to parties other than the local governments for which the purchase was initially made, while arrangement to ensure the arrangements for total blockage of leakages in the payroll of the state before the end of the month has commenced.
The statement also stated that the security vehicles in the convoy of the former Governor Isa Yuguda have already been recalled, advising the public that they are free to intimate the secretariat of the committee of any misappropriation of any asset by anyone or group.
