Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has approved the appointment of Izam Azi as the Acting Head of Civil Service of Plateau State with immediate effect.
This was contained in a press statement signed by his director of Press and Public Affairs, Emmanuel Nanle.
Mr. Izam Azi Mni, until his appointment was the Permanent Secretary Government House Administration; he takes over from Mrs. Huldah Fwangchi who has proceeded on retirement in line with extant Public Service law and Civil Service Rule.
The statement also reads that “While wishing the immediate past Head of Civil Service the best that the future holds for her, the Governor wishes to express his profound appreciation on behalf of the Government and People of Plateau State for her years of meritorious professional service, the benefit of which his administration has had in her intervention in the resolution of the labour unrest inherited, and the reorganization of the Civil Service which she had kick started in line with the All Progressive Congress, APC, Civil Service Reform Programme.”
Mr. Izam Azi is expected with this appointment to bring his wealth of experience garnered over the years to bear in positioning the State Civil Service for excellence and professionalism in Service delivery.
