Management committee chairman of Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon Nicholas Vongsing yesterday said that Governor Simon Lalong had done well in restoring lasting peace in the state.
He said “the issue of clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in Plateau is now in the past, because areas which were seen as ‘no go areas’ no longer exist.
“One of the first achievements of Governor Lalong when he came on board is the current peace being enjoyed by all in Plateau. Our governor has also done well in carrying all tribes along in governance,” he said.
Speaking to our correspondent in Plateau, Vongsing said before Lalong came on board, insecurity tormented most people that live in Plateau, but all that were now in the past even as investors were now coming to see areas to invest in the state
“The governor has also gone ahead to complete most of the inherited projects of the previous administration, he noted, adding that the governor “is not looking at who started the project; he is more mindful on the importance of the projects to the Plateau people.”
He praised Governor Lalong for achieving so much in the midst of dwindling resources, saying that at the end of his tenure he would be praised by the people of the state.
The LGA boss called on the people of the state to continue to support the APC governments both at the federal and state levels.
